The Bigger Picture course is a multidisciplinary postgraduate course first established in 2016. It was previously led by Bob and Roberta Smith RA (2016-18)and then by David Mach RA (2018-22) and now lead by Annie Cattrell RSA FRSS (2022 to the present)
Annie describes the course as “a postgraduate1 fine art course that is interdisciplinary and challenging in approach, thinking and creative realisation. The focus will be on the artistic development of each student and the dynamics of the group as a whole. Critical discussion and supportive dialogues will be at the heart of this process. Therefore, actively encouraging innovative and meaningful ways of personally integrating practise and theory.”
The course will involve shared projects for the first term, and progress into personal projects over the second and third terms. There will an end of year exhibition in June 2023* in London. Prepare for immersive days of presentations, practical projects, one to one and group tutorials.
