For those of you outside of London or unable to get to our studios, this course is for you! Join us online to further your practice in portraiture and figurative painting. Tim Patrick will guide the course through systematic and creative approaches to working from the figure or the face. You will work in a range of methods and mediums of drawing and painting to better grasp how an expressive subject can be translated onto your surface.

Tim is especially interested in and knowledgable in colour mixing and will guide you on how to develop your palette in oils producing beautiful ambient light effects and exploring the possibilities of oil mediums. Build your body of work with confidence in a supportive community of artists with one-on-one and group tutelage.

The course will also explore other sources of inspiration including photographs, drawings, memories and imagination to help you apply what you’ve learned to your everyday practice.

There will be an online exhibition of your work at the end of the course which will be live for two months. We use the platform Kunstmatrix which has beautiful virtual gallery spaces.
